Easy Mango Mule Mocktail (No Blender)

My easy mango mule mocktail is sweet with a strong tropical twist and a kick of ginger beer, perfect for a summer day and very kid-friendly!

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. ginger beer see notes for alt.
  • 3-4 Tablespoons mango puree
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1-2 Tablespoons simple syrup or allulose to taste (mint syrup is my favorite)
  • ice to top

Instructions

  • Pour the mango puree, lime juice, and sweetener into your glass, and stir well.
  • Add ice to top, then pour over the ginger beer and stir lightly.
  • Add straw and serve!

Notes

To Cucumber or Nah?: I don't know where this cucumber in a mango mule nonsense came from, but you can also add a thick slice of cucumber to the bottom of your glass when muddling the lime, if desired. I tried it for my fiance's, but decidedly did not like the taste.
Brand of Ginger Beer: I quite enjoy the Fever Tree brand of ginger beer, but it does have about 10g of sugar per serving, so if that's important to you, you may want to look for a lower-sugar option.
I like the Betty Buzz brand for its lack of fermentation and low sugar content, but in a pinch some sparkling water with ginger simple syrup could also be a decent sub. Alternately, for an overall less sweet drink you can also use 1 teaspoon fresh or frozen ginger puree + sparkling water.

Adjusting the Sweetness
: adding more simple syrup or liquid sweetner of your choosing will increase the sweetness of the drink, though be careful not to add too much of the mint syrup or it won't be balanced out by the mango's sweetness.
