Equipment

  • Food Processor

Ingredients

  • 2 inches fresh ginger peeled and grated (about 50g)
  • 4 cloves garlic halved (about 12g)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup about 30ml
  • ½ cup coconut cream about 120ml
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar about 15ml for a tangy kick; optional

Instructions

  • In a food processor or hand blender, combine the grated ginger, garlic, maple syrup, coconut cream, salt, and apple cider vinegar (if using), and blend until very smooth.
  • Taste the sauce and add more salt as needed. Adjust the sweetness or acidity to your liking by adding a bit more maple syrup or apple cider vinegar, if desired.
  • Once your sauce is well-mixed and seasoned, use immediately, and freeze any remaining sauce in an ice cube tray for easy use later on.

Notes

How to Use: This sauce pairs beautifully with grilled vegetables, stir-fries, or as a dressing for salads. It can also be used as a dip for fresh veggies.
Storage: Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a day, or as long as a week, if you’re not eating low histamine.
